What does sportsmanship mean to you?
"In our sport, the mushers vote on awards, and sportsmanship is one of those awards. I’ve received that award because of gestures I have made. For example, Charlie Boulding wore out his plastic runners and had no extras in a year that he had a faster team, but I gave him plastics even though he’d beat me. Another example is when another musher had wet boots and I gave him my only extra pair so he’d have dry feet. Those are the kinds of gestures that I think define sportsmanship.
