When the Arizona Cardinals started 1-6 last year it was easy to blame it on the lockout layoff.
Then they finished 7-2.
With no lockout this year, veteran guard Daryn Colledge of Alaska believes Arizona has a shot in the NFC West.
“With as much as we do on offense, we want guys that are going to grasp the offense and grow,” he told Arizona TV. “I think last year we struggled with that early in the season with transition of new [players] and the lockout, a short season, we kind of hit our stride about halfway through the season. We started to figure things out. I think this year we’re tenfold where we were last year.”
Colledge, of North Pole fame, has started 92 of his last 96 games in the NFL with the Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.
